As a white-Cherokee woman from the rural South, willingly transplanted to the most densely populated city in the United States, I've learned that women are not completely safe in any country. I've experiened first-hand the effects of abuse, resulting in a suicide attempt as what felt like the only mean of escape. Unfortunately, many other women do not live to see the other side as I have. My background working with teens and college students and volunteering with Christian organizations fuels my desire to make a difference in the lives of everyone affected by human trafficking and sexual abuse, both male and female.
My passion for acting and desire to uplift those who are hurting led me to discover that we all have a platform, whether it be in our religious communities, workplaces, or even our own homes. Through this platform, I aim to raise awareness and equip the general public to fight all forms of abuse, especially human trafficking.
